This allows you detailed control of anchor points and the ability to fully adjust the outline. Once you’ve got the shape you want, just right click and “Make Selection”. I often feather it a hint so the cutouts blend with their context. Not as fast as automated selections but great precision and you can fly once you get the hang of it.
